Going Commercial

Afternoon Zombies!

Lately I have been thinking about taking the studio commercial after this project or after the next one, what I've been mulling over is A) if we get to produce our stuff, B) how difficult that would be on a certain budget, C) if we did how would we compete financially, especially in today's economy.

Do we work for ourselves or gamble our interests with a client? Instability vs stability, the genre, level of interest of the work to be ascertained from bidding and then competing with other companies already established bidding for work we want to do. It's a lot to think about, but I don't think I'd regret taking the chance when and if it arises.

Enough rabble, work done this week:

[Animation]

- 7/10 Male generic zombies have been finished for shot 26, the last 3 are being worked on at the moment
- One female zombie is being worked on, I will probably join in with these last 9
- The last 12 zombies are slated for the end of March
- Generic male rig has been removed from assignment 26 since it has served its purpose :')
- Shots 37-41 had steep revisions to camera work, some shots had their animation adjusted the continuity is getting close to final

[Tech Art]

- Jesse has continued making the corridor look awesome
- Alexa is hiding the Nazi banners for now :'(

[Sound]

- Getting a much broader idea of how ACT 1 is going to feel in terms of sound, the start is heavy on ambient music, and the end is heavier on theatrical ambience. Also there is a rough pass on the sfx for the doors.
- The OST from an earlier rendition of the music in ACT 1 has been moved to ACT 3

Turn up your sound!

[Blog Updates]

-  Digital Media page is being removed, I decided that it's best to have new media pop-up in blog posts when they come along rather than chronicle every video on a single page, some with simple/minor changes.
- Credits List has been updated
- Progression Tracker has been updated

[Jobs]

- Character Modellers
- Cameraman (Live Action Documentary) <--- Must be in Vancouver, you're needed on set
