Monolithic: A Goal!

Hello great bi-pedal creatures of the earth!

Today is quite a big update since I saved most visual media from last week to be posted after the presentation this week! Let's start with the good news shall we! The good news is that there was a decent turnout at the presentation, it went off without a hitch and I do believe it was well received despite my judgmental paranoia. I'd like to thank everyone again who attended! 

Some topics right off the bat:

- Vanarts is chronicling the development for its duration
- More peoples have been exposed to the highly radioactive nature of the project
- More animators have signed up since or have spoken interest in joining later
- I managed to make it! The flu gods did not have full dominion over me that day >:)

The only bad news is:

- My defiance of the flu gods has left me slightly weakened
- I was a clutz and forgot to film it on my camera, however our trusty information designer (Arte <3) decided to record my ramblings on her phone, so there is still a silver lining!

With everything that's been said I'd like to underline the goal of the project, the core in the purpose of it's collaborative needs. On our own we stand short of daunting tasks which we sideline no matter our passion, but in groups we can prop each other up and open doors to pioneering great mastery amongst one another. The project now stands on the willpower and inquisitive nature of those truly devoted to their vocation, together we'll be able to amplify our skills to reach new heights previously thought unattainable. When the journey comes to an end, which all do, it will be epic! Your boss salutes you!

The stone is rolling! Don't just watch, roll with us!


Oh my! Now that's out of the way, what work has been going on this week:

- The Presentation (Well duh!)
- Assignment 26 has been updated with more specifics including specialty zombie rigs, go check it out: http://proto-borg.blogspot.com/2011/11/curve-ball.html
- Modeling of the EVIL Chairmans Quarters is almost finished (screen shots next week)
- Designs for the general has had revisions and are now making its way into 3D
- The credits animation finally had its revisions and is now on the blog
- Our lead sound designer has been mixing a dedicated library of SFX for the film
- Professional voice actors have also been introduced into the mix
- More zombies!!!
- Official schedule to be slated in January 2012
- Update to the critique pipeline now specified at the bottom of every blogpost through a link
