High Expectations

Good evening my noble collaborators!

Sadly this week adobe has given me yet more reasons to dislike them as premier has decided to not recognize the same file types it processed last week. I had recorded the Vlog and have been trying to get premier to work for a while with no luck, so as of now the Vlog is being discontinued temporarily.

Life goes on!

This week is about those working on the film, I'd like to take a moment to express my appreciations for those collaborating! Apart from making the film I am also building bridges to those who are truly passionate about their work and working with others, and for those who are participating (new and old) you have my respect! The school environment is something quite different and many have proved that, that is not their peak nor the height of their interests. A new internet meme is born: "Son, I am not disappoint!".

The presentation draws ever closer! And with it more news: I had spoken to Wayne on Friday and now Vanarts is giving the project its blessing, they will also now be keeping track of its development and paying close attention. Certain studios around Vancouver will also be keeping track of its development. Why? History in the making, no seriously, a collaboration between the schools graduates (VFS, Vanarts) has never been done before and so now we are all a part of something unprecedented. Let's show those goons at Gobelins animation school (<3) what we're made of, we may well be pioneering collaborative endeavours of the future in Vancouver or even Canada.Whoopie!

With that aside, what's been done this week:

- Film has been split into 4 parts: Intro, Fight, Middle, Finale
- Part 1 is almost finished, part 2 is receiving revisions, part 3 is ready to be worked on and part 4 is having its assets organized
- Steffrie has been hard at work on animatics for the film that will debut at the presentation
- Paul's animation in the credits has finally been coloured and composited
- Shots 10-20 and 28-40 have had their assets organized for work
- Shots 5, 8, 9 and 27 have all been cut.
- The finale introduced a new sequence adding 13 more shots to the film and spoken dialogue
- More zombies have been submitted, some are very close to finals
- Edward has found more sound designers and has decided to take the role as Lead Sound Designer
- Assets for sound and the film finale are being discussed/developed
- Shot 2 received a new cut
- Previs is being pushed to have a final cut on the films length which is going to be around 5 minutes total

All the work this week will be posted after the presentation including the presentation itself, hope to see you all there!! Keep up the hard work, proud of all of you :)
